Career Intern, Social Media & Marketing

Career Intern, Social Media and Marketing ‘21-’22
Support the social media and marketing efforts of the CCA through creating content, interacting online with constituents, maintaining platforms, and assisting with analytics.

SOCIAL MEDIA & MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the campus knowledge of the Career Center events, programs and services by raising awareness through various social media platforms
Help create content and campaigns to promote the career center to campus and help develop strategies for increasing engagement
Interact with followers by communicating and answering questions through the social media profiles
Maintain, post and update social media profiles such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, with appropriate and appealing content
Collaborate with fellow CCA interns to coordinate messaging, marketing and promoting of events in the CCA
Assist with social media analytics and reporting
Assist in loading/producing stories/creating social media graphics
Other duties as assigned by Program Supervisor

OUTREACH AND TRAINING
Research, prepare and present student workshops promoting the Center for Career Advancement
Keep informed about upcoming CCA events/promote them to students and alumni
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and CCA staff members
Attend training sessions and weekly meetings

EXPECTATIONS
Abide by the University Advancement Division’s confidentiality policy
Provide friendly, helpful customer service to online social interactions and followers
Be punctual and responsible at all times to scheduled work hours, events and meetings
Act as an advocate for the CCA in various campus settings
Maintain a professional presence in any location work is being conducted
Attend or assist at Career Center events for social media coverage

QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign or other graphic design program as well as experience creating video content preferred
Experience using social media/networks for promotional use and knowledge of popular social media platforms from a brand perspective, a plus
All majors available to work the academic year, meeting any requirements set-forth by the Student Employment Services Office and university.
Desire to learn about/promote CCA services/programs to Bucknell community
Willingness to learn and demonstrate excellent professional verbal and written communication skills, creativity, empathy, teamwork, and leadership potential
Responsible, punctual, and dependable
Accuracy and attention to detail; flexibility, independence, and initiative
Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion in sensitive situations
Ability to engage with students, faculty and staff on campus through colleges, departments, and organizations
Customer service skills
Ability to participate in training during current semester and return to campus prior to the Fall Semester
Start and end dates for the position are dependent on the university's academic calendar and are subject to change

2. Design a digital poster to promote the BPIP Internship Fund (Use these details [and any other details you may research/find/know] to craft the image/message for student audience:
-provides support $4,500 for students who have secured a full-time, unpaid summer internship within the nonprofit and public service sector.
